He was a senior Engineer in Products & Services Development in Thuraya
Satellite Telecommunications Company From 1999 until 2001.
From August 1993 until August 1999, he worked as Speaker recognition
expert in
the Forensic Laboratory of Dubai Police & succeeded in setting up
a Voice Analysis Division.
Graduated from the University of Arkansas in USA in the year 1993 with
a degree of Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering Technology.
In 1998, he received his Master Degree in Electrical Engineering with
emphasis in Digital Signal Processing and Speech analysis from Oregon
Graduate Institute in USA. Graduated with honor and distinction.
Keynote speaker and a presenter in various scientific seminars and educational
conferences in the areas of eGovernment, telecommunications and electronics.

Ms Tan Kar Joo is Director, Electronic Services Division (ESD) of the
InfoComm Development Authority (IDA) of Singapore. As Director (ESD),
Kar Joo manages the Public Service Online programme, a programme that
focuses on delivery of customer-centric government online services.
In her 17 years in IDA and the previous National Computer Board, Kar
Joo has worked in various government departments and divisions, and
was involved in some major government IT initiatives, including the
Electronic Lodgment System for the Land Registry, the Technology Court
and the Electronic Filing System for the Supreme Court, and the Driver's
Licensing System for the Traffic Police.

Dr Ahmed Al Mohanadi is the Director of Qatar e-Government Project.

Dr Ahmed is the visionary and instigator of enabling the Qatari Government
to provide its services electronically, via the internet, to the citizens,
residents and businesses of Qatar, resulting the Government working
better and smarter, more efficient and less bureaucratic. By streamlining
the operation of Government services e-Government will inevitably break
down the barriers between the people and their Government thus transforming
the Government to become more citizens friendly. To turn his vision
into reality, Dr.Ahmed set about to create something very few countries
have yet to accomplish, by using technology to transform the way the
Government operates and performs in servicing its people.
Dr.Ahmed's vision is now a living reality with no less than ten (10)
Government services now provided on-line. This has been achieved by
the inspiration provided by Dr.Ahmed to his talented and dedicated team
in the short space of three(3) years with a further 10 services targeted,5
which will also be coming on line in the near future.
This vision is not only transforming the way Government works in Qatar,
but also is changing people's lifestyles for the better by placing the
Government in their hands. Indeed, today's new generation will have
started life the e-Government way with the issuance of Birth Certificates
on line, and indeed, will be utilizing the e-services throughout the
whole of their lives with education, health, employment, immigration,
driving licenses etc.
Thus, Dr.Ahmed's vision has developed into only the delivery of Government
services on-line, but an e-lifestyle for the citizens, residents and
businesses of Qatar.
Dr.Ahmed has a Ph.D in Electronics Engineering from the University of
Kent, as well as a Masters in Electronic Engineering with Honours from
the North Carolina Agricultural &Technical State University. He regularly
lectures at Qatar University College of Engineering and a member of
several prominent Government Boards and Committees in Qatar.

Bilal Sununu

Bilal Sununu is a known figure in the IT industry in Saudi where he
started the Microsoft operations in the country. During his 8.5-years
career at Microsoft, Sununu held several positions in technical and
sales groups until he was appointed as the GM in 2001. During his appointment
as a GM, Sununu worked on very strategic solutions in the area of security,
e-business, and e-government. Sununu also worked very closely with top
government, commercial, and IT organizations and is a well-known speaker
in Saudi. Prior to Microsoft, Sununu worked in the technical division
of several organizations where he lived through the challenges that
such organizations has to deal with. Sununu also worked on several strategic
consultancy projects for major organizations.
Sununu‘s passion is technology and it’s application in improving
the life of people. Sununu also believes that the key to create a successful
IT industry is knowledge transfer to the local market through the training
of the young generation.
Sununu lives in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with his wife and 2 kids, and
enjoys reading and swimming.

Mohammed Emir is currently the E-Government Project Director for the
Federal Government. He has extensive exposure and experience in public
sector reforms here and also in Malaysia. He is also involved in the
BPR and change managementfor all the ministries.
Mohammed Emir has also work with various BPR projects under the UNDP
banner and has been appointed as a consultant to the International Monetary
Fund (IMF) to undertake BPR projects.

Neil Smith

Neil has been heading up the E-Risk department for Visa International
CEMEA for almost 4 years now and has worked with Visa in Fraud and risk
management for nearly 6 years. Neil brings a wide experience of knowledge
and expertise in both the emerging technology area and also Fraud and
risk. Having worked in the industry for over 10+ years he has been associated
with some of big players in the payment scheme industry including the
‘Royal Bank of Scotland’ and First Data Corporation’.
As Visa is an association he has had the opportunity and pleasure of
developingv close relations with Global financial institutions across
the world leveraging his knowledge to advise on opertaional and stragtic
areas.
The main areas of focus to date is surrounding some of the following
topics; Chip and smart card technology, new technologies such as e-commerce
and mobile payments along with his expertise in fraud and risk.
Ghazi Atallah
General Manager, Cisco Systems Middle East
OVERVIEW

Ghazi Atallah is the General Manager for Cisco in the Middle East. He is responsible for Cisco's overall strategy in the ME, driving plans and initiatives to grow Cisco's business and overall contribution to the region.
Previously he was responsible for Cisco's Service Provider business in the Middle East and North Africa, one of Cisco's fastest growing regions in EMEA (Europe Middle East Africa).
Atallah was also previously the country manager for Cisco in Saudi Arabia where he was responsible for growing Cisco’s presence and business in the country.
While in Canada Prior to moving to the middle east in 1997, Atallah was chief Architect in the network planning group for Canada’s International Carrier, Teleglobe Canada. Subsequent to that he was the product development manager for ATM and Multimedia technologies in General Datacom's Multimedia R&D labs in Canada where a lot of the initial work was done on Multimedia transport of ATM.
He completed his university in Montreal, Canada, holding a degree of Bachelor of Science in Computers Systems. He also holds a minor degree in Business Administration.
